Background music for a working day
Music for work has a narrow job: cover the noise around you and keep a steady mood without asking for attention. That rules out lyrics, big changes in volume, and anything you have to skip. Neverloop writes slow chords, a soft melody and the odd bell, bar by bar, so it can run from the first email to the last without repeating.
For an office or a home office
- Deep coding: brown noise in front, steady chords under it. The noise does most of the work against chatter, keyboards and traffic.
- Writing in the rain: farther away, with rain on the window. Good for long writing.
- Night desk: slower, darker and wider, for the last hours of the day.
- Reading: the sparsest mood, for reading and review.
Keep the volume low: background music works best just above the room, not over it.
Work in blocks
The timer runs 25/5 or 50/10, four rounds. The music rests in the breaks and settles on its last chord when a block ends, which is a gentler signal than an alarm in the middle of a call.
Not one playlist
Press New variation and a different piece begins at the next bar, in another key and at another tempo. Each has a name, like Silver Current, so you can tell them apart.
