NeverloopMusic that is written while it plays
Most focus playlists are recordings: an hour of audio that ends, or a ten-hour video that loops the same few minutes. Neverloop works differently. A small composer runs in your browser and writes the music bar by bar: it picks the chords, voices them, plays a phrase on the electric piano, lets a bell ring now and then. Nothing is sampled from a track, so there is nothing to loop.
This page plays Deep Work: slow chords on warm pads and electric piano, soft bells, no beat. It is made to sit under writing, coding and reading, quiet enough to forget about and never quite the same.
New variation
Press New variation and a different piece begins at the next bar, in another key and at another tempo. Every variation has a name, like Silver Current or Salt Field, so you can tell them apart.
Moods
- Deep coding: brown noise in front, low and steady chords under it.
- Night desk: slower, darker and wider, with a deep rumble.
- Writing in the rain: farther away, with rain on the window.
Questions
- Is it really never the same?
- The composer follows the same rules every time but makes its choices as it goes, so a variation does not repeat bar for bar. Press New variation for a different piece altogether.
- Does it need an account or cost anything?
- No. The player on this site is free, with no sign-up and no ads.
- Why does it only start when I press Play?
- Browsers allow sound only after a click or a tap. Nothing is downloaded or played before that.
